All of the items in the store are handmade and predominately made up of the fiber produced on the farm. Some of the fiber has been bought from local farms when I do not have a color that I want for my products. I have three looms that I work with, two four shaft looms and one an eight-shaft loom. Though I do spin, most of the fiber is sent to a local mill to produce, batting, roving and yarn. This year I dyed a quarter of the 2nds for rug yarn. These will be fun rug bumps that should be available by the end of the year 2020. Most of the yarn is sold at craft shows, but some of the items we have will be listed in the store. If you don’t see something that you are looking for, please contact me and I will let you know if we can help.
We have a range of items for sale from handwoven, felted or knitted scarfs, woven or braided rugs and for something completely different, hand built pottery pieces. I am the artist and currently, only sell what I produce. Though I mainly work in natural colors, I have loom that I am dedicating to multicolored scarfs. These pieces will hit the store once off the loom. Most of the scarfs are woven with fingerling yarn for soft drape.
I love weaving rugs. I have a large four shaft loom that I dedicate to rugs. I also make braided rugs that are felted on the back for additional softness and strength. I use a mixture of 2nds and thirds from blanket which produces a very soft rug.
If you want to commission a rug or scarf, I am happy to discuss, but the production time will be based on what project I currently have on the loom.
Starting April 17th/18th 2021 we will be a the Vancouver Market on a monthly basis.
