About Us
A Man and His Tractor
Before alpacas, we experimented with wheat.
The Bee Yard
At 2 Point Farm, we raise Suri alpacas, a rare breed of alpaca with silky, soft fleece that hangs in pencil-like locks.
Our love of the outdoors, nature and animals led us to purchase the farm in 2004. We knew that we wanted to use our property in the best and most sustainable way. We visited local farms and learned about alpacas, their earth friendly qualities, peaceful nature and the many uses for their high-quality fiber. In 2013, we started our own herd with a single focus on the distinguished and rare Suri breed, which is known for its silky and lustrous fleece.
Our herd typically numbers 25-30 alpacas at any point in time. We have alpacas for sale, as well as breeding services. In our farm store and on our website, you can find all kinds of amazing Kentucky Proud and Made in the USA alpaca clothing such as “life changing alpaca socks”, scarves and gloves, as well as home goods like rugs and decorative items, and of course raw fiber and roving for spinning and crafts and all kinds of yarn grown by our herd.
As a small, family business ourselves, we value the role of the small farm and farmer and we are committed to being part of a movement to sustain the family farm, use natural methods, buy local whenever possible and promote Made in the U.S.A. products.
2 Point Farm sits on 118 acres of farmland in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. We are in the southernmost tip of Northern Kentucky, in Grant County, about halfway between Cincinnati, OH and Lexington, KY. Our farm is named for the 2 “ridges” that frame the property and for the “2-point plow” that was one of our first farm purchases.
