About Us
We are novices to the alpaca industry but are ranchers at heart. Linda grew up spending summers and camping on the property where we now live. Lou grew up in Ohio when he got transplanted to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs he decided he had to live in the mountains.
After deciding to “retire” and raise alpacas we purchased four girls and one yearling boy in 2004. The journey of building home, barns and fences seemed long at the time but looking back was well worth it. We love our animals and have learned a lot from and about them. We enjoy sharing their antics and beauty with others.
Our herd now numbers 37 which includes the seven cria born this summer. We have learned to shear, trim toenails and teeth, give shots treat upset tummies, deliver crias and dodge spit-offs during breeding season. Our Great Pyrenees do the guarding for us and are very attached to their herd.
Let us know if you are interested in learning more about these endearing animals with their fabulous fiber. We have lots of sizes and colors to choose from.
