Registration- All visits are by appointment only and every visitor must register in the store upon arrival. Please do not explore the farm until you have registered. Alpaca visits must be accompanied by a farm guide. (Professional Photography must be pre-approved prior to arriving. Contact us for policy and rates.)
Not permitted- No pets allowed on property (including being left in vehicles). No smoking, vaping, drones, weapons, alcohol or drugs are allowed on property. Please do not visit if you are ill.
Attire- Alpaca Acres Farm and Fiber is a real working alpaca farm so be prepared for a completely outdoor family-friendly farm experience. Dress according to the weather and be prepared to get dirty! It can be very windy so you may want to bring a sweater or jacket just in case. You'll want to wear closed-toe shoes and keep in mind that you will be walking on dirt, gravel and grass with some rolling hills and unpaved, uneven surfaces. (Remember, animals are sensitive to smell and therefore, may not want to visit or eat from hands with strong smells of lotions, soaps and sprays.)
Animals- Please follow these rules when visiting the animals:
- Parents/Guardians please ensure that your children know and follow rules at all times.
- Do not open gates, climb on, over or under fences, gates or barriers. Never enter pastures.
- Do not feed animals anything other than the grain we provide. No food/drink around animals please.
- Move slowly, talk softly and be gentle when petting the animals.
- Hand washing is required after visiting animals, even if sanitizer was used. Do not touch your mouth or face until you've washed your hands. Take care not to drop pacifiers, sippy cups and baby bottles. People at high risk for serious infections, children less than 5 years old, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with compromised immune systems should approach animals with extreme care.
Private Property- Do not trespass or "explore" outside of the activities area. Entering neighboring properties, animal pastures, barns or other buildings on the property are strictly prohibited. Do not touch farm equipment. Do not open gates, climb on, over or under fences, gates or barriers.
Speed Limit- There may be children and wildlife roaming so please do not exceed 5 mph on premises. Please watch for and yield to oncoming traffic in driveway.
Activities- Every visitor must a sign waiver before use of any activity or farm visit. Wristbands may be required to be worn on certain days. Visitors must follow both written and verbal rules for activities. Not all activities may be available at all times. Socks are needed on the jump pad.
Campfires- Campfires must be reserved and paid for in advance. Every guest must check-in upon arrival and wear wristband during entire visit. Do not move firepits or burn anything other than firewood provided by farm. Due to high wind, guests may not bring pop-up tents, decorations or grills. Please keep language and actions family-friendly at all times. Firepits are hot- please do not touch them. Before leaving, please clean up and remove all trash from your site.
Children- Minor children must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that children know and follow farm rules. For their own safety, please keep young children in eyesight and arms reach at all times.
Weather- Check the weather before your visit; The farm will close during inclement weather and no visitors will be allowed on property. If you are asked to leave the property due to inclement weather, no refunds will be given. Please be advised that there is regular high winds at Alpaca Acres. You'll want to dress according to the weather as the farm experience is completely outdoors.
Incidents/Concerns- Should you have an incident or concern while on property please notify a staff member immediately. An incident report must be completed prior to leaving the farm.
Anyone not abiding by rules and policies, both written or verbal, may be asked to leave without refund. Policies subject to change without notice.
