Katahdin Sheep
Katahdin Hair Sheep
We moved from an entirely commercial flock of Katahdin Hair sheep to a mostly registered flock of Katahdins. We retained some of our original commercial Katahdin sheep because of the high prolificacy in the lines (5-8 lambs every 13-16 months), so our recorded Katahdin sheep are purebred offspring of our commercial lines being bred back into the registry. We are very pleased with our registered Katahdin rams. They thrive on our low input, grass based management system and their lambs have proven to be very parasite resistant, fast growing, muscular animals.
