Welcome to our Farm
We are a family owned alpaca farm located just outside of Edson, in Yellowhead County. We were introduced to alpacas in 2008, when we purchased our initial six. What started off as a christmas gift, has turned into a passion after we fell in love with everything these animals have to offer. After spending time with these guys, it is not hard to see why it didn’t take long for our herd to expand into what it is now.
After attending some shows, and really getting to know the alpaca community, we are pleased to say we are in this for the long haul. We are members of the Canadian Llama and Alpaca Association (CLAA), the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA), A.L.P.A.C.A., and Alpaca Canada. At this time we are the only CLAA and AOA registered farm in Yellowhead County. We enjoy supporting our industry, and doing our best to help it grow and flourish.
We both breed and show our animals. Our herd consists of Bolivian, Peruvian, and Chilean bloodlines, many from respectable breeding programs and well known lineages that genetically back the quality we see in our herd every day. We use the fleece from our herd to produce art batts, yarn, hats, scarves, duvets, dryer balls and much more.
As breeders, our focus is on producing healthy, happy animals with exceptional fibre and temperaments. Our animals are known for being easy to work with and friendly, and our hands on approach to working with them ensures that absolutely anyone can spend time with one of our alpacas, and come away with a smile. We have selected our lines to breed for colour, and longevity of fibre traits such as fineness, handle, and density, so that our animals are producing great fleece well into their adult years. Through yearly fibre testing, we’ve reaffirmed that we’re on the right track, with some of our best breeding males maintaining cria-fine fleeces well into their breeding years, and with their offspring following suit.
We love our animals, and we are sure you will too. Please, never hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
