Premier Show Yaks
We're glad that you found us on the web. Please take a look and enjoy learning more about our farm. Our Yaks are being raised for meat, fiber, packing and show. Yaks that are born on our farm do not leave until they are trained on a halter. We imprint all the babies when they are born. As of 2022 our current Yaks are our breading heard. In April 2018 we had our first calf, a bull, Bo-Jangles he remains as in our herd. Four of our Yaks are very familiar with the halter. John Deere, Alexzander (unfortunately we lost Alexzander in the fall 2020), and Bo-Jangles are in training to pack. John Deere & Alexzander were the winners of the Outfitters Pen show at the 2018 & 2019 NWSS. While at the 2018 NWSS John Deere gave many kids rides, she is a very social animal. Carlice showed & sold a market yak at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo in 2019, which was the first in our county and in the state of Wyoming, showed and sold two in 2020, and showed for her final year in 2021. We love to have the yaks anywhere we can educate the public about yaks; they have been at the Wyoming State Fair for 5 years and were at the Washington State Fair in 2019. Casper Creek Yarks are members of USYAK and IYak associations. We welcome your inquiries and questions!
