Welcome to Justorian Alpacas!
We are Jerry and Wendy Campbell, proud owners of Justorian Alpacas. Our farm is named after our grandchildren – Justin, Tori, Ryan, and Anna. We raise Suri Alpacas in God’s Country on our 5-acre hobby farm 3 miles north of Osseo, Wisconsin. These precious, gentle animals have won our hearts.
We started with just two alpacas over 10 years ago. Through the years we have had as many as 35 alpaca at one time. We do sell our sweet alpacas to the right homes. They each have their own unique personality and know their names. Our alpaca herd is part of our four-legged family and we adore them!
The first few years we focused on learning about the care of these wonderful animals as well as their herd dynamics. Herd dynamics is so interesting, one alpaca in each of the male and female herds always has the “watch” to warn the herd of any danger. There are 3 or 4 different watchers in each herd, so they take turns. One of our favorite things to watch are the cria (baby alpaca) races. The cria races happen just before dusk each night. All the crias run full tilt together around the pastures and through the barn sometimes bumping into moms and older females. They get scolded a lot by the older females, it is so cute to watch! They are like teenagers always testing their boundaries. As our herd grew, so did the need for larger pastures. I think we increased our fencing 3 years in a row.
We wanted to learn even more about alpacas and our breeding program, so we attended the Wisconsin Alpaca show. Alpaca farmers are some of the nicest people you will ever come across. They love to share their knowledge and love of alpaca. Through the years we have taken some of our wonderful animals to shows and won a few ribbons here and there. We started volunteering to help with the show and now have a place on the board. Alpaca farmers strive to grow our industry and educate people about alpacas. If you have the opportunity, look up your local alpaca show and attend. You will love what you see!
We invite you to visit our farm. Please give us a call, or send an email to schedule a visit. We do have a farm store on site where we carry a large number of items made from alpaca.
