Welcome to Tanglewood Farm
Tanglewood farm, in business since 2003, has grown from the initial four alpacas to the current 11 in a rainbow of colors.. You will find, not only alpacas, but also products hand made of the awesome fiber that they produce, such as hats, scarves, socks, dog beds, dog/cat toys, dryer balls, and now rugs made with our alpaca fiber. All of the products except for the famous alpaca socks, are made here on the farm. We also have dyed alpaca batts for those who want to felt, as well as clean, washed and carded fiber for spinning. Stop in and see why Alpacas are such good livestock to own. We also provide alpaca manure that will make your houseplants green up.
Tanglewoodfarm will be a harvest host farm starting May 2022
Check with harvest host for any restrictions rregarding size of vehicle.
If you are looking for that special gift, be sure to visit us at the Top Knot, our farm store at Tanglewood Farm. Please contact us first to make an appointment.
We have downsized our herd, and are keeping only our males, exceptional males that we will use for outside breedings and to maintain a source of great fiber. All of our females have now gone on to other farms. We do have some outstanding pedigrees, and a number of our males should be great studs for your females. We can provide drive by breedings for farms within 200 miles, but with the cost of gasoline , we will charge per mile driven .
Tanglewoodfarm also raises beautiful AKC Champion German Shepherds, which have been bred here for over thirty
years. If you want to be added to the list, let us know. Our dogs are not only beautiful, but have super great temperaments. My vet complimented me on the sound temperaments of our dogs recently, by saying that he had never had such great temperaments in his practice before. If you wish to be placed on our waiting list, contact me, but be aware, that we will ask you lots of questions . Our recent litter was sold out in three weeks and we will post when we are expecting our next litter.
Look for my female, Sandy, at the Lima and Central Ohio shows, Nov 19th and 20th,at the ohio StsteFaiirground{Bricker Bldg}.handled by Steve LaRosa.
As a Mentoring Farm, we will continue that even though our female Alpacas are gone, Tanglewood provides help to anyone needing information about health care, training, housing, feeding, and general maintenance of alpacas, and dogs, and we do this free of charge.
We currently also have a lovely brindle Anatolian Shepherd Dog who guards our herd. Contact me if you are interested in this breed, and I can give you more information about the breeder I highly recommend.
