Learn to diversify and sustain your alpaca business
www.capenewagenfarm.com
We are a small, family run alpaca farm open year round to the public, located on the southern tip of Southport Island in midcoast Maine, just outside of Boothbay Harbor. Our farm represents animals that we selected to bring color, fineness and a long staple length to our breeding program. We take pride in the care of our farm animals and constantly build on our farm programs for fiber growth and agritourism activities that support running our farm and enjoying raising our alpacas!
Our hands are on our animals both in taking care of them daily and in spinning and working with the fiber. You have an intimate connection with the texture and softness of your animals' fleece when you spin, knit or crochet with the yarn that you have created. The alpacas that we breed are only those that will continue to provide us with low levels of micron count and a consistent blanket of fiber for the end product of a luxurious yarn and garment.
Come and visit us or reach out via email or phone to learn more! Call to make an appointment to learn how to bring alpaca fiber from your farm to your hands and enjoy the world of alpaca farming. We would love to help set you up with a small herd of your own!

Our alpacas represent a wide range of hues and genetics with fineness and a long staple length as an overarching goal. Our business is fiber focused. We spin our own fiber and work with local mills.
We breed only our top females to herdsires that continue to improve our herd. We have a wide variety of genetics including Arctic Rendezvous, Maid of the Mist and Snowmass Royal Rose to name a few. Contact us for a visit and to discuss how we can help you. 207 633-0416 or www.capenewagenfarm.com
