Welcome to Hidden Acres Alpacas of Indiana
Hidden Acres Alpacas was established in 2008 with the arrival of two male Huacaya alpacas. Then, situated just south of Wabash, we wanted to do something environmentally friendly with our land. Our journey began in the summer of 2007 when we were introduced to the alpaca lifestyle and began visiting farms, attending seminars, and doing extensive research on these earth friendly animals.
In August of 2014, we uprooted our farm and relocated to Huntington, IN. This location provides much more pastureland and larger living quarters for our herd. Our farm store showcases products produced from our herd and items imported from their native land of South America. We were able to keep our farm name, Hidden Acres, as we are tucked back in a wooded area just off the two main highways of US 24 and SR 9.
Our goal is to maintain a small herd so we can concentrate on raising quality animals through planned breeding. Donating a portion of our fiber to the New England Alpaca Fiber Pool (NEAFP) and marketing alpaca products gives us satisfaction in knowing that we are helping to grow the industry in the United States. Hidden Acres Alpacas is a member of Alpaca Owners Assoc, Inc. (AOA).
