Welcome to River Bed Ranch
Carol and Tom Frazer established River Bed Ranch Alpacas in 1991 when there were 2,500 alpacas in the country. We watched this industry mature to the levels you see today. We contributed to the growth of this industry in Utah and surrounding states. We know more about the alpaca and the alpaca industry as a whole than most folks in the business today by virtue of the fact we have been doing this so long. As a result, Our Experience has been YOUR best Resource!
However, there does come a time when all good experiences must end or at least take a new direction. For River Bed Ranch this time came in 2019 with the sudden loss of Tom Frazer. Carol Frazer took over the reigns alone. It has, of course, been difficult at times without the wisdom and muscles that Tom offered, but always a joy to be surrounded by the mystical and beautiful alpacas themselves. In the past years, Carol has sold off most of the herd remaining on the property at the time of Tom’s death. Now only a few of the alpacas that have contributed to the success of this farm for so many years remain. Carol knows that the time has come to re-home the six animals that are left. They can serve as companions for someone who has only one or two alpacas who are in need of company or they are available to serve as the quietest and most beautiful lawn mowers one could find.
Carol will be offering the animals in different package arrangements along with lots of equipment required to begin or expand an alpaca farm that would bring success and satisfaction to whomever is ready to experience what River Bed Ranch did for many years for Carol and Tom Frazer
Making progress towards retirement.....
The time has come to close out a most rewarding chapter in my life. Now running the farm alone, I have scaled down my herd to just four females and two males. The girls are beyond breeding age, but very vibrant and would make great companions to someone who has just one or two female alpacas. They can be sold as pairs or as all four together. The males can also be great companions to a lone male and are also available as a pair or solo. Older alpacas can teach new owners so much. These animals are easy to handle from going for a walk to getting their nails cut. Call if you have any questions.
