Pheasant Ridge Alpacas has been raising alpacas for almost 19 years. We are Iocated on close to 50 acres of beautiful ridge top in southwestern Wisconsin where there are rolling hills, valleys, woods and a pond. The land is certified organic and crops are raised here for Organic Valley Foods. Organic hay and alfalfa is also grown here for the alpacas. The alpacas here are raised as naturally as possible.
I have a very nice selection of alpacas for sale for breeding or for fiber. I do not sell my alpacas for meat. I hand process my own prime fleeces and also have raw fiber available in most colors, hand carded fiber ready for spinning and felting, and hand spun yarn available.
There is quite a variety of huacaya and suri bloodlines here although I have now downsized greatly. Peruvian Accoyos - Victor, Titan, Legacy, Caligula, Pacifico, Michelangelo & Royal Fawn. I also have Peruvian bloodlines that include Hemingway, Matador, Dom Timbo, Geronimo, Yupanqui, Sunipani, Titan, Amerikhana, Obsydian, Royal Forest, Grandmaster, 007, and Timeteo. My Chilean bloodlines include Loganberry Von TR, SilverCloud PC, C4 Merrill, and Golden Boy. My Bolivian bloodlines include several from Legacy de Bolivia, Redeemer, Black Thunder, Acero Marka's Straight Arrow and Bolovian Commodore. In addition to full Peruvian, Bolivian and Chilean alpacas, I also have various beautiful crosses. I love the diversity and admire what each can contribute to my breeding program. I also have several Accoyo/Alianza animals (including herdsires), of which the combination is known to produce some of the very best fiber.
My suri bloodlines include 4P Silver Bullet, P Aureo, 2P Juan, 2P Uribe, Jax Accoyo Emperor, 2P Angel, 3P Starbuck, Overnight Sensation, 5P Waldemar, Accoyo Sidney, Blackout, Black Chip 4P Magnifico.
I have shown my alpacas in halter and fleece shows. My goal is to produce alpacas with excellent conformation, good health and temperaments, and of course, fiber with excellent fleece qualities. My priorities are lasting fineness, consistency, brightness/luster, as well as good staple length and coverage. I strive to improve my breeding stock with each generation.
I also have livestock guardian dogs to guard my alpacas and occasionally breed them.
Email or call and come for a visit anytime, meet the animals and learn more about raising alpacas and processing fiber!
