Welcome to Teaberry Alpaca Farms where we pride ourselves on top quality, healthy, and diversified alpacas.
Welcome to Teaberry Alpaca Farms! We are a family-owned and operated farm nestled within the Jefferson National Forest, in Catawba, Virginia. We pride ourselves on the care and quality of our fibrous family. With eighty acres to roam and graze, our alpacas are happy and healthy, just as they should be.
We keep a careful eye on the fiber quality of our animals, and always strive to improve it. We have no particular color focus here; we are only looking for the quality of the fiber as well as the confirmation of the alpaca. In fact, we like having as many different colors as possible (it makes it more fun!) No matter what color you pick, we'll have a few friends to match.
Many of our alpacas are proud ribbon/banner winners and hail from well-established championship bloodlines. Though we are situated on the East Coast, we're very careful to keep our gene pool as fresh as possible. We have alpacas from all over the nation, ensuring that we revitalize the bloodlines and avoid kissing cousins. If you are looking to get some fresh blood in your herd, we're more than happy to help! Many of our alpacas hail from champions on the West Coast, giving you the chance to raise your own little champions with healthy genetics they can pass down through generations. Whether you've just entered the alpaca world or have an established herd, we are here to answer any questions and find a new friend to add to your pastures!
We are proud to announce that our farm, Teaberry Alpaca Farms, was awarded both 1st place in New Breeder for Fleece Production and 2nd place as New Breeder for Halter nationally! We are so honored! These awards are based on winnings during the 2023 - 2024 show season...our fibery family did so well and we are so proud of this accomplishment.
