Welcome to our small farmette! Our goal is to raise mini nubian goats that are truly dairy goats! We focus on the will to milk and well attached udders that are productive for years. Since a dairy goat needs a body type that is structurally sound to support the demands of high production for month after month, we also pay attention to conformation. We look for animals with dairy strength and body capacity. Low maintenance animals are also important to us! Ease of kidding, parasite resistance, and strong feet all are part of a good dairy goat. There is no such thing as a perfect goat and obviously it's hard to find an animal with all these qualities, but these are the goals we are working towards!
Mini nubians are sweet animals that are easy for families to work with. They make an excellent addition to any family homestead! Feel free to reach out with questions. We'll be happy to help you get started with your own mini nubian goat!
Our does are fed alfalfa and/or grass hay. They are let out to our small pasture to browse and get exercise every sunny day during the growing season. During their lactation they always receive alfalfa as part of their diet either in the form of hay or alfalfa pellets. We also feed them a pelleted grain formulated specifically for lactating dairy goats. They always have access to a goat mineral mix and fresh water.
We are working at building a solid foundation for our mini nubian herd. Our foundation animals come from Dill's, PromisedLand, Buttin'Heads, Gibson Farm's, Sugar Moon, Lakeshore, Never Fail, J&M Hideaway, Green Gables, and Echo Hill's bloodlines. We are still breeding our foundation animals and so the kids we will have to offer will be Experimental and American animals for quite a few years yet. Well bred Experimental animals may not have perfect breed character, but they have a valuable place in a herd if they are bringing fresh, quality genetics to the mini nubian breed!
We keep an interest list for anyone interested in breeding stock quality animals! We carefully evaluate the kids as they are born and only offer animals that we'd retain ourselves. All other animals are either culled or listed here for sale as pets. We do not keep a waiting list for pets. Remember that goats need company! For more info, see Terms and Financing.
We test yearly for CAE and Johnes. Since CL testing is unreliable and CL presents itself as cysts which we have never had in our herd, we have chosen not to test for CL at this time.
Feel free to research our animals further!

To get on our interest list for breeding stock quality animals, email us with your name, email or phone #. Give a description of what you're looking for or which breeding you're interested in. When kids are born, we will evaluate them for 2 weeks and then contact the buyers whose interest matches that specific kid. We reserve the right to retain any kid we choose. You will have 24 hours to decide if you're interested. A $100 non refundable deposit will hold your kid till pick up. We may also offer an adult animal as they come available.
For our peace of mind and yours, our kids are raised with strict disease prevention. We pull the kids at birth and raise them separately from any adult. They are fed with heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk. We offer them hay at a week old and feed them medicated grain for coccidia prevention. We vaccinate the kids with CDT vaccine at 5 weeks old and at 8 weeks. All breeding stock is disbudded and comes with a MDGA registration application.
