2015 BIRTHS..dams w own crias front of them
We successfully bred Cotton, Chloe, Rachel and Jasmine this past year for 2015 births. 2016... 2 crias were taken by coyotes just after birth in the Fall, so we haven't bred again until 2018. In 2015
Cotton & Chloe had beautiful females, and Rachel had an exceptional black bundling male.
Jasmine had a HUGE, very curly black male (sired by Bolaro..as was Rachels male) with much quality fiber, but lost Jasmines large male to pneumonia (internally). NO PROBLEM BIRTHING...just one of 4 had pneumon read more...

Cosey- going for 1st walk around the alpacas with us to learn her guard territory.
Amy's new additions to the herd are TRITON's LAZER and Golden Oakes' FREEDOM! And next year, after 3 crias are weaned, we will begin thinning our herd. We already have one person interested in Nuera. Come by and get to know them when their crias are born so you can see the "quality" of cria each one produces. Our herd is comprised of alpacas from great sires and dams... many World Class or World Famous. When bred with great males, they produce very nice fleeces and overall quality crias. Mo read more...
Miracle Horse. Cash's Star watches outside fence.
Only a limb in fields...alpacas safe.
After July's 2-twisters, we had a young EAGLE (known nearby) visits the pond above the alpaca fields
It's down now, but 2 Strong swirling winds snapped great trees... building damages were minor!

Hi, I'm Snowman. Do you want to celebrate Spring with me in the creek?
Introducing Harmony Springs Farms "Alpaca Herd."
Until we learn to do better web pages or a nice farm site for you, and open them to other breeders, we'll try to show you some of our joy in owning alpacas through pictures. We'll start adding individual info when we are ready to open herd for sales or breedings. If we list breeding cost high at first, it is because we want some time to breed on farm first. We see great potential in several males! (Of course, we think they're ALL great!)

Gently gentlemen. Cria on board!
The day finally arrived. Time to shear alpaca herd for fiber! Amy just added some great quality alpacas to her herd. Probably her new alpacas are some of the best quality in the herd now! The dam who is pictured here is one of her new acquisitions with exceptional fiber! Nevaeh (heaven) is also about to have a cria by Amy's new sire Nike (S V Nike placed in 2009 VAOBA as an indefinite colored grey & brown). You make good choices Amy!!

Rayo's Master of "Snow" and Smoke Storm...our 1st alpaca stepping from trailer.
This is our first alpaca stepping from his trailer at Harmony Springs Farms... the yearling of Mountain Edge's Rayo and Seventh Valley Cotton. He started out as Snowboy, and then nicknamed Snow.
It's time to think about picking names for our yearling sire.
Let's see... what about following the long list of his pedigree... names across his sire or dam certificates? We could name him from the lists of Grand-sires and Grand-dams? What about "Heming's de Beers." Or, maybe he could become " read more...
