The beginning of Harmony Springs Alpacas
Rayo's Master of "Snow" and Smoke Storm...our 1st alpaca stepping from trailer.
This is our first alpaca stepping from his trailer at Harmony Springs Farms... the yearling of Mountain Edge's Rayo and Seventh Valley Cotton. He started out as Snowboy, and then nicknamed Snow.
It's time to think about picking names for our yearling sire.
Let's see... what about following the long list of his pedigree... names across his sire or dam certificates? We could name him from the lists of Grand-sires and Grand-dams? What about "Heming's de Beers." Or, maybe he could become "Rayo's Master of Snow." Better yet... "Rayo's Snow Royalle","World Class Snowstorm de Smoke," "Monte Carlo's Royal Esterlino," or even "Rayo's Snowy Black Magic", "Rayo's Royal Monte Carlo", "Rayo's World Class Snow Storm". We really like both sides of his lineage... so little fellow became Rayo's Master of Snow and Smoke Storm (chances of Lt Fawn-Yellow, lots of white, light silver, and dark colors in his genes!).
Now our first sire is fully grown, proven, and we are satisfied to just call him SNOWMAN.. the beginning of our "Alpaca" herd, and a proven Herdsire!
Cosey when she arrived. She's patrolling well now.
Guardian for females. Likes black Nuera. Nose-tossed her own hay every eve to her.'
