3RD ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE/HOLIDAY MARKET
As I write this, there is a definite nip in the air which is getting us in the mood for Christmas. It's slated to be in the low 20's this week! That's about 20 degrees too low for me. We've had a lovely fall here with comfortable days. I hope this cold snap isn't a harbinger of what's to come this winter.
But it's November and time for our Open House. Looking ahead to Nov 26, the weather looks good. We hope you can join us . It's a day of learning about the alpaca industry, interacting with alpacas, and checking presents off your Christmas list. This is the time for our Fall cria to be born with 2 on the ground already and 2 more expected before the Open House. There will be lots of photo ops so don't forget your camera. We'll have local artisans demonstrating hand spinning, weaving, and needle felting.
Shopping opportunities are in abundance. There are a good variety of items created from fiber collected from our award winning alpacas. Cold feet? We have a cure for that. We've got you covered for heads and necks as well. Need a little stuffed animal to snuggle with? Yep, we've got that. Do you have a crafter on your list? You can get lost in our wide assortment of yarn, roving, felt sheets, rug yarn and raw fleece. Christmas ornaments, bird nesting balls, felted soap to be used as a soap and washcloth in one, dryer balls, finger puppets, the list goes on and on.
We do not have much availability for on site parking, so please park on the street and reserve what little space we have for handicap parking. And please, as much as we love little fur babies, please refrain from bringing them along. One last housekeeping item - there are no restroom facilities available.
In the unfortunate event the weather is uncooperative, check in on our website, and we will have info about a rain date. We are thinking sunny thoughts, though.
We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones and sharing our unique animals.
