The Overnight Suprise.........Snow!!!
Kokomo checking out the snow
The first snow of the year is always a shock for some, especially those that have never seen snow in their lives! This year we had six little foreigners to the snow. As they spent most of the prior day lounging around in the barn they missed the change of season that brought shock to their little noses this morning.
With one glance out the barn door, everyone who has endured the cold Nebraska winters went, "oh this again", and was smart enough to enjoy the warmth their barn brought. However, the youngsters went straight into explore mode, and only a few moms trailed!
Kokomo, celebrating his sixth month birthday, seen his first snow; something we wish he could have done with his mother at his side, instead of his grandmother. However, we are very thankful that he has Symphony. Its proves how smart these animals are, for her to know that her grandson needed a mother. Of course it helps that Kokomo was a mirror image of his mother, and she was a mirror image of Symph!
For all the babies except Burke and Sadie, the snow didn't stop their morning workout! They covered their ground despite the new cold surface that covered it! Burke wasn't so sure the snow was something he wanted to explore and stuck right next to Brandy. Sadie on the other hand stayed with her mother in the warm barn!
