ALL kids are disbudded = NO horns = safer to be around. They are extremely well socialized, in-your-pocket, and would make excellent pets. I tried horned goats 2 years ago and they destroyed my barn, got stuck in the fence, and hurt each other and gave me bruises, even just by accident bumping into me. I left buck kids with their horns and they kept getting stuck in the feeder. It was nothing but trouble and I'm not doing that again!
Kids have arrived over the last 2 months and BUCK KIDS ONLY will become available as they are weaned. The first couple will wean around mid-July and the last late August, at 12 weeks of age. They are white or off-white. A couple will be retained into the fall for breeding within the herd and for sale by the end of the year.
The first 3 litters are Alpine mothers and a Savanna father. The last litter is 75% Savanna and 25% Alpine.
We have plans to add a large group of registered Fullbood Savanna, hopefully in the spring of 2025.
As we are just starting up a new herd, most if not all females will be retained for the next several years. Individual females might come up for sale occasionally if they are not quite fitting the new meat goat program.
We're moving soon. We are currently in Texas, but might be in either the Arizona Valley or Southern CA by weaning, or shortly after.
