Cenicienta (Cinderella in Spanish culture) has really come on nicely in both form and fleece. She is a lovely alpaca to watch in the pasture, moving smoothly and elegantly. Her fleece is showing strong definition of character, soft hand, brightness and density. Ceni is a peachy fawn, with beautiful, soft dark eyes and a spectacular head set.
In 2011 sent Cinnie's blanket to a hand spinner for yarn. When I took it out to box it up for shipping, I thought to myself, "WOW! This is like gold in fleece form, very soft and bright." The spinner wrote me to complement me on Cinnie's fleece. Her comments "what a beautiful fleece and a joy to spin". The yarn is BEAUTIFUL!
Cinnie is Bolivian, Peruvian & 1/4 Accoyo; her gorgeous fawn color is likely coming through from her grandsire, Peruvian Felix. Ceni's sire, Xanadu Peruvian Jazz, has put wonderful, fine, dense & lustrous cria on the ground that are making an impression. Ceni is a low maintenance female with regard to her daily care, health and herd interactions. She stands well when being handled, but resists walking with a halter on. Ceni is a very attentive Mom with plenty of milk.
Cinnie has lingering fineness. Her 6yr old fleece statistics are as follows:
MFD 23.2u SD 5.3u CV 22.7% 8.9%>30u, spinning fineness 22.9u
Cinnie has had 5 uneventful pregnancies, having delivered a dark fawn male, Sweet Clover's Regal Gizmo May 20th, 2010, from her second breeding to Majestic Peruvian Bronson. Cinnie's first cria, Prairie's Locked n' Loaded, sold just after weaning in 2008. Her 2009 cria is Prairie's Aftershock by Magestic Peruvian Bronson.
Unfortunately her September 2011 cria died from complications of dystocia before delivery. This would have been Cinnie's first girl. The cria was a dark brown/ Auburn, from by FRA Magic's Moreno.
On June 4, 2013 Cinnie delivered a white GIRL cria. Cinderella's Story is the product of the breeding to a very handsome white macho, Freedom Reigns.
