When we decided on Island Bliss’s Fuego del Norte (a ribbon winning black son of Misty Ridge’s The Rebel) for our Kiska’s first breeding, we thought we should get a pretty great baby from the pairing. In truth, though we thought the cria would be very high quality no matter what color it was, we were REALLY REALLY REALLY!!!! hoping that their offspring might be gray or rose gray. Kissy and Fuego are both out of silver gray herdsires , even though neither of them is gray (on the outside anyway) so we thought we had a pretty good shot.

When Kissy delivered Cintra we felt like we won the lottery! We were dancin’ all over the place!!! She is so beautiful! And her coloring is outstanding! Cintra has a beautiful rose gray blanket with silver gray on her neck and legs and a classic tuxedo patterning. Her fleece exhibits consistent crimp, density and a lovely handle. She stands straight and proud with correct conformation and the other physical characteristics that we love to see in our females – good chest capacity and solid bone.

Cintra is coming up on three years old this summer. We have bred her to our dark silver gray AOBA champion Luc's Captain Kirk. We have had her granddam, Katinka since she was a yearling. 10 years, 7 daughters and a few granddaughters later we have a great deal of confidence in the abilities of the females in this line and we’re thrilled to have another one!
