Congrats to Windcrest Farm!! Rob and Todd have acquired this beautiful Quixotic daughter, and we are certain she is part of their Foundation from this day forward.
Masquerade is an excellent example of the production from our foundation dam; Royal Peruvian Estrella. 'Masq' is a well grown girl within a perfect box and has straight and beefy bone all the way around. Her disposition is perfect and she was one of the easiest girls to halter train ever.
Her sire is A and A and MFI Quixotic, a renowned gray male that we think of very highly. He has produced some rousing offspring for us and we even have him stand at KCF occasionally through the cooperation of Majestic Meadows, his new owner. Quixotic is also the sire of Masq's 3/4 sister, KCF Steel Magnolia, our multiple color champion female that was seriously considered for the Supreme Champion at the 2016 AOA National Halter Show.
Masq's fleece is buttery and fine with the very high frequency crimp style that we love at KCF. Although I figured that she would be a rose gray upon being born, she has remained a very solid brown with zero trace of white fibers anywhere other than her mask. We think the mask bodes well for her future as a gray producer for us though (or you....), and we will be anxious to get her started in the Spring of 2018. We have her scheduled to see KCF Grayconic, or you are free to choose any of our KCF boys, or transfer the breeding. Her dam Estrella and Grayconic, produced an absolute knockout boy, El Toro. There is certainly no reason to think the outcome won't be a least as good with a little Quixotic in the mix!!
