Description

Goldie is a very promising young dam for any breeding program as seed stock. Her mother givers her fiber length, stature, bone, and conformation. Bogie will give her improvement in fiber traits. Her mother is easiest birther we have on the ranch. She breeds quickly and has uncomplicated births to good sized healthy cria.

Gold has two very rare EPD traits in the 1% & 5% club of AOA. Those traits are for staple length and fiber weight, with 1% for fiber weight and 5% for staple length. Both of these values are a reflection her density and her ability to pass along density to her offspring. At age three, she still has a staple length of over 100 mm. This makes for a good basis as a seed stock for a program needing to integrate more staple length and density in their program.

Gold is presently being bred to our Herdsire, Majestic's A Man Among Men. This offspring should have improved overall fiber traits, especially the fineness traits, with little loss to her ideal staple length. Gold is a proven dam, she was an easy breeding and gave birth easily as well. One breeding to Man and all those fiber traits will improve considerably.
