Primrose is a gorgeous dark brown Chilean female. Her fleece is dense and she has maintained the uniformity and structure of her fleece very well. She is the daughter of Patagonia's Compadre who is noted for also maintaining great density, character and fineness of his fleece. @ 2 years of age his histogram was impressive. afd=20.6m, sd=3.4m, cv=16.5%, >30=1.2% (2 years of age).
Both Primroses sire and dam are true black. She was bred twice to MFI Peruivan Black Mesquite and have been very happy with the results. in 07 they produced a med. brown female with black points, and in 08 was almost an exact replica! For 2009 Primrose was bred to MFI Peruvian Formula 1 and got a brown male that is just as spectacular as his "sisters". Primrose produces "show string" crias. She is excellent in our foundation herd.
Primrose is easily bred and has proven to be a very attentive mother with ample milk to provide for her crias needs. Her last cria was the result of crossing her with Beethoven's Dorian. We couldn't be happier with the cria produced, she has bright, consistent dense fleece from head to toe with perfect confirmation.
We are currently downsizing to get our herd back down to the original number we set when purchasing alpacas. We are not going out and we are not offering our females to allow for room for new stock. We have not bred any girls for 2017 cria, and have no intentions of any new purchases. We want to get back on track with our business plan. Otherwise, we would not be offering our foundation at such low prices.
