We are a 74 acre Vermont farm that is specializing in raising the rare TN fainting or Myotonic goats. This breed of goat is a heritage bred meat goat that almost went extinct due to it's use as a predator guard for large herds of sheep. Today, this breed has made a come back due to many dedicated breeders across the USA and Canada.
Our herd is enrolled in the Federal Export Scrapie Program. Currently, we are "Monitored" with 7+ yrs in the program. Our "Certified" status has been met and we are waiting for the final approval from the USDA. At this time, we can sell/export nannies, doelings and bucks into Canada. In 2018 we exported twice to Canadian breeders. Once the USDA approves us as "Certified", our goats can be sold worldwide. This herd is CAE, CL and Johnnes free. Testing has been done thru Cornell University and random testing continues.
We offer breeding bucks/prospects, mature does and we will have a large 2019 kid crop for sale! There will be some very fancy kids in numerous colors, including blue eyes and moonspots. Most of the herd is short hair but there are a few long haired or skirted ones. All our kids are disbudded unless, naturally polled. Our goats are registered thru the Myotonic Goat Registry.
Call or email us if you are in the area or if you have interest in purchasing any of our goats. Delivery is easily arranged. Any goat leaving the State of Vermont MUST have health papers or export paperwork done before leaving the farm. All health papers or export cost are done at the expense of the buyer.
We also offer foundation-bred Morgan Horses - breeders for 30+ yrs - and AKC English Labradors - yellow & Black.
