We brought 12 animals and were excited that they all placed in their classes!

1st Place, ESTATES ASLAN OF NARNIA 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Medium Fawn Male Juvenile-B (Class of 6)(Judge: Wade Gease)  We are very excited about our fawn,  Aslan of Narnia, out of show winner, Patagonia’s Arctic Sun.  With GWAS being his second show, Aslan has now received two First Place ribbons.  Aslan also represented his sire, PATAGONIA'S EL GALAN in the Get of Sire.

1st Place, ESTATES DESERT DESERADO 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Light Silver Grey Male Juvenile (Class of 3)(Judge: Wade Gease)  Desert Deserado is a out of grey halter and fleece champion and blue ribbon winner, NS Magic Flight and Janus’ Signature Diamond.

1st Place, ESTATES PURELY APPRAISING 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Beige Male Juvenile-B (Class of 6)(Judge:  Wade Gease) One more juvie we need to toot our horn for is Purely Appraising, one of our first cria out of Snowmass Pure Passion.  Purely Appraising is out of the outstanding dark fawn dam, Patagonia’s Acapella, appraised as an A- by Judge Amanda VandenBosch!

1st Place, ESTATES SILVER SWAN 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Light Silver Grey Female Yearling (Class of 4)(Judge: Peter Kennedy)  Silver Swan is a out of silver grey Chief Grey Feather and Patagonia’s Shiva

2nd Place, ALPACA COUNTRY ESTATES/PATAGONIA ESTATES - 2017 GWAS - Huacaya Breeder's Best Three (Class of 6)(Judges:  Wade Gease & Peter Kennedy)  

A sensational honor received at GWAS was the award of Second Place in the Breeders Best Three!  Representing our ranch was ESTATES LEGENDARY PICASSO, a phenomenal light fawn yearling out of Andean’s Pegasus of Country Estates and Patagonia’s Lindeza with genetics including Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia’s Ernesto; ESTATES ASLAN OF NARNIA, a knock-out fawn juvenile out of Patagonia’s El Galan and Patagonia’s Arctic Sun with genetics out of Patagonia’s El Vasco, Nisho, and Patagonia’s Lennox; and the incredible ESTATES WEDDING TAPISTRY, a white dynamite female juvenile out of Patagonia’s El Galan and Patagonia’s White Rose.  Thank you Judge Wade Gease and Judge Peter Kennedy to give confirmation that we are moving in the right direction with our breeding program!

2nd Place, ESTATES CREMONA CHALLENGE 2017 GWAS - Halter, Huacaya True Black Juvenile Female (Class of 11)(Judge:  Peter Kennedy)  Cremona Challenge is out of true black Color Champion Patagonia’s Baccus and true black Champion Estates Cassidy.  Comments from Peter Kennedy included fine, consistency with color and micron with bundling crimp.  Peter commented that he would like for her to grow up in conformation as she matures, but well deserving her Second Place Red Ribbon in such a large class.

2nd Place, ESTATES WEDDING TAPISTRY 2017 GWAS - Halter, Huacaya White Juvenile Female (Class of 10)(Judge: Peter Kennedy)  Wedding Tapestry is a bright white crazy bundling fleeced juvenile (she placed 2nd in a large class of ten behind Pamela Ray’s Xanadu Souriant).

3rd Place, ESTATES LEGENDARY PICASSO 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Light Fawn Male Yearling (Class of 8)(Judge:  Wade Gease)

4th Place,  ESTATES KING KAMEHAMEHA 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Medium Brown Male Juvenile (Class of 10)(Judge: Wade Gease)  King Kamehameha is a beautiful fine fleece brown juvenile out of Estates Kari.

4th Place, ESTATES TAKAMI 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya Bay Black Female Yearling (Class of 4)(Judge:  Peter Kennedy) *Former ranch-mate Estates Harlequin Brizio won 2nd Place

4th Place, ESTATES MATTERHORN 2017 GWAS -  Halter, Huacaya Brown Yearling Male (Class of 9)(Judge:  Wade Gease) *1st Place won Color Champion and 2nd Place was the Reserve Champion

4th Place, PATAGONIA ESTATES SAKIMA 2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya True Black Male Yearling (Class of 9)(Judge:  Wade Gease)  *Former ranch-mate Estates Stradivarius won First & Color Champion and 2nd place won Reserve Champion.  (Patagonia Estates Sakima usually places behind the Color Champion; however, he didn’t place as high in the standings as he normally does with the stiff competition at GWAS.  Sakima is out of our true black Patagonia’s Chilkoot who was assessed by Judge Amanda VandenBosch as an A- in 2014 and true black Estates Sentimental Journey.  Genetics for Sakima includes Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia’s Lennox, a magical combination for success!)

5th Place, ESTATES HAIDEN  2017 GWAS - Halter, Full Fleece Huacaya White Male Two-Year-Old (Class of 10)(Judge:  Wade Gease) *1st Place won Color Champion and 2nd Place was Reserve Champion

6th Place, PATAGONIA'S EL GALAN - 2017 GWAS - Huacaya Get of Sire (Class of 9)(Judges:  Peter Kennedy and Wade Gease)

ESTATES ASLAN OF NARNIA represented his sire, Patagonia’s El Galan in the Get of Sire along with ESTATES WEDDING TAPISTRY, a bright white crazy bundling fleeced juvenile (who placed second in a large class of ten behind Pamela Ray’s Xanadu Souriant).  Our third juvenile representing El Galan in the Get of Sire Class was ESTATES KING KAMEHAMEHA, a beautiful fine fleece brown juvenile out of Estates Kari.  Out of nine groups in the Get of Sire, our juveniles received a ribbon.  Judges Peter Kennedy and Wade Gease said that we had the finest fleece out of the entire group.  Wow, we were blown away!  We can’t wait until Patagonia’s El Galan has more progeny and these three juveniles grow up!
