Raising alpacas... the ultimate fiber art
As both a weaver and knitter, fiber & textiles have been a part of my life for over 60 years.
The search for quality yarns drew me to an interest in raising fiber-producing animals. I'd thought about raising sheep, but at my first alpaca show I knew I had found the right animal for me.
I understand and appreciate the unique qualities of alpaca fiber - its softness, warmth, and comfort. Skyline Alpacas combines my first passion, the fiber arts, with my new passion, raising alpacas.
If you are interested in purchasing yarn, fleece or animals we can schedule a visit! Please call so we can set that up!
I still own 1O2 alpacas! But unfortunately only 6 females were bred last year as the staff felt we had too many alpacas! But I feel if the females are already pregnant they are more likely to sell! But my staff did not agree with me! Boho! But if someone wants to purchase a Female and she is not pregnant I certainly would bred her for the person wanting to purchase her!
