Most alpaca owners have heard the phrase “Alpaca Lifestyle.” I recently asked a friend “what does the Alpaca Lifestyle mean to you?” That got me thinking…what does it mean to me? Chaccuna, The Grand Dam of Alpacas of Somerset Farm

And she is cute too!

And she is cute too!

As I not so patiently wait for the birth of Chaccuna's cria I find myself thinking about how this amazing female rose to the status of the Grand Dam of Alpacas of Somerset Farm. Setting aside her age (she was born 9/20/2001) and her obvious "presence in the field" there are many factors critical to this solid foundation female. She has solid foundation genetics.
