Henny Penny, the Stinker
the aftermath of destroying the Paca Shop
My favorite hen of all times is Henny Penny. She follows me everywhere. Seriously, she follows me everywhere she can. If she had a diaper on, she'd follow me into the house.
After I let everyone out of the "Hen House" in the morning, she'll stretch and squack and make her rounds and see what I'm up to. I'll pick her up and give her a "love" and then she'll carry on while I tend to the alpacas and dogs.
While I get hay or grain for the alpacas, she'll be following me around. She's like that.
After checking on things or going back and forth to the house to prep for ranch visitors or restock the Paca Shop, she's there. If M is coming from the house, she and the other chickens will see someone, start running to whoever it is, then they'll turn around and go back to their regularly scheduled activities.
However, if it's ME, they'll continue to run to ME and then follow ME around to see what I'm up to. I LOVE THIS! I can't deny it. It makes me smile; I just adore their adoration.
Who would have guessed that I'd not just be an alpaca lady, but I'd actually be a chicken lady.
Today I finished cleaning up after yesterday's fiasco of locking my poor dear in the Paca Shop. I was able to vacuum, mop, dust and reorganize the Paca Shop, and hung a few more Halloween and fall decorations. We are now ready to have YOU and/or your friends shop for some giifts for the upcoming holidays.
Henny Penny is most likely thinking of more escapades she's going to get herself into. I'll be around to help her get out of them.
Kevin .... NO! She's not going to be anyone's meal in the near future. You know, we don't eat any of our chickens or roosters. Not even Ricky Bobby, and we all know he's the naughty one.
