Carolyn manned the Alpaca Ontario Booth at The Royal Winter Fair for two days again this year. I took down everything to show the various steps of hand processing fibre into yarn. It is amazing how interested the children are in my spinning wheel. It is always a great experience.
Dec. 1st Carolyn, Christine and our niece Cassidy along with three alpacas took part in the Markdale Santa Claus Parade; again it was a lot of fun. People in the area are getting to know us, more people this year knew they were alpacas and not llamas. This picture is of Shasta wearing her "My First Christmas" bib, there are more pictures from the parade on our facebook page.
Right now our major job is to get 200 pounds of fibre ready to go to a mill for processing by Jan. 15th!! That is a lot of raw fibre. As soon as it returns to us in beautiful finished yarns we will let everyone know.
As the year 2012 winds down we look back at how far we have come in such a short time. We want to thank our family, friends and customers for their support and encouragement.
We wish you are your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Remember to check out our facebook page, it is updated with photos more often than the Farm News.
