Peruvian Lady Monaco
Lady Monaco in 2007
We are humbled to own this phenominal full Peruvian hembra. When I saw her weanling photo, I was amazed at her textbook phenotype and just had to have her. Mike Safely gave her a first place in a yearling halter class and commented on her correct phenotype. Finding a herdsire to greatly improve on her is a challenge. She's tall and weighs 175-180 and her crias are all average sized. (Average alpaca height is 34-38". ) She also produced a 4.8 pound blanket fleece of fine, crimpy, maroon fiber. She has the type and body capacity we would like to see on all our hembras. Adequate body capacity is important for fleece yield and space for the fetus in late gestation. Monaco is also a very sweet and very protective and brave female. We love you Monaco!
