Genetics GIANT - Greener Pasture's Malachi
We are pleased to add Greener Pasture's Malachi to our herds! Partnering with Fiber Meadows, Stellar Alpacas and Longneckers - we are very excited about what he brings to the table in terms of genetics!
For those of you who follow the phenomenal breeding program of Crescent Moon Ranch and some of the other programs around the country, this name may take on some familiarity. Malachi is the full sibling to Greener Pastures Leviticus (Top 1% of EPD in 4 traits for 2014) owned by Mike and Michelle Swango at Eye of the Needle Ranch in Denver).
Malachi is also full sibling to Greener Pastures Prince Charming (Top 1% of EPD in 5 traits for 2014) owned by our good friends at Amber Autumn Alpacas, Daryl and Shirley Krause.
Malachi lives up to the billing. He is a champion and a habitual blue ribbon winner. Sporting a dense light fawn fleece with exceptional fineness he is bright and so very soft. The Legacy/Elite cross running through his veins is enhanced by the genetic influence of his grand dam, Peruvian Blanca. Blanca is a Sollocota import female who still boasts amazing fiber statistics at the age of 14. Some alpacas are timeless in our industry and Blanca resides into that category. Malachi is just true to what he is a collection of some of the best to ever breed in North America.
These genetics have been held closely by our friends at Crescent Moon Ranch. What an opportunity to integrate these genetics into our herd!
Proudly co-owned with our friends at Fiber Meadows, Longneckers and Stellar Alpacas.
