Our prince has come!
How fitting for the son of a full Accoyo named after the crescent moon, to be born around the harvest moon! Sir Cedric of the Harvest (casually known around here as Cedric), was born on September 20th. He is our first male on the farm and we have BIG plans for him. Life is giddy with a cria on the farm again. Their curiosity while they are discovering the world around them is so fun to watch. From autumn's falling leaves, to a chicken racing across the paddock, he checks everything out with enthusiasm. He celebrates often during the day with a bolt of energy that sends him flying out to the pasture and back to the barn before the ladies can swallow their next cud.
This little guy has super uniform color and crimp and his conformation looks perfect. Of course all of his aunts here on the farm look out for him and practically fight to stay close to him. But mom gets first dibs on him all day. This is Una's first cria and she has been a doting and caring mom from the start. Cedric means 'kindly' or 'loved'. Narrowing down a name for your cria can be a daunting task. We wanted something to honor his dam's Celtic naming and his sire's representation of the moon. Being our first stud and this being the year where British royalty welcomed their first prince, we added the Sir for flavor.
We've had lots of visitors to the farm since his arrival as you might imagine. They don't stay little for very long, so if you are hoping to make a trip here to see him, let's set something up soon!
