Triple-Fisted Goat's Milk Soap
That's a mouthful, but I wanted to make sure credit was given to all of the local farms who had a 'hand' in creating this unique item. The fresh goat's milk was procured from Bethany Farm; the soaps were produced and scented at Why Not Farm; and then they were felted with the alpaca and llama fleece from our farm. The final product is a lovely combination of farmer's working together to create a functional product.
Goat's milk soap on it's own is wonderful. It is gentle on your skin, hypo-allergenic, and lasts longer than commercially milled soaps which is why it's generally a little more pricey than your average bar of soap. With the addition of the felted cover, you benefit from a mild exfoliation and even longer life. Each time you rub the soap you enhance the felted product until it is totally gone. You may not notice a rich, creamy lather like a commercial soap, but don't be fooled by the lack of bubbles. It is surely cleansing and softening with each use. It is also quite attractive resting sink-side.
