Updated Sales Policy for 2023
I'd like to update and remind people of our policies on selling kids and/or adult animals. Beginning in 2023, we will no longer register any animal with ADGA. I will provide paper registration for ADGA but will not be dealing with them until ADGA works out the kinks in it's NG software. I will provide AGS registration. * We accept Cash, PayPal friends and family, or Venmo friends (preferred). We do not accept checks, cashier's checks or money orders. * We require 1/2 down to retain any animal, on a first come, first served basis. The remaining half is due at the time of pickup, and cash is preferred. We will not hold any animal while you talk with your spouse, get home from vacation, or "think about it". * We no longer accept any type of payment plans. A full 1/2 down is required once you decide on an animal, and payment must be in full before any animal leaves our premises * Doelings are weaned at 12 weeks old. Bucklings are weaned at 10 weeks old. You have exactly ONE WEEK to pick up or find transport for your animal, otherwise you will forfeit your deposit and the animal goes back up for sale. * We have the right to retain ANY animal that is born here, no matter your reservation or wants. We also have the right to refuse to sell to you at our discretion. Our goats are our lives. If we do not think you will be the best fit, we will say so. Performance homes are preferred (Linear Appraisal and milk test. Showing is a bonus) *DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!!!!!! Unless something happens to your kid while in MY care. Period. * Kids will go home disbudded (or polled), vaccinated with at least one CD&T, and will have been on coccidia prevention. They will be healthy when they depart our ranch, however once they leave NO GUARANTEES ARE MADE! Too many factors are at play that are not in our control once they are gone. * Transport is the responsibility of the buyer. We will help you where we can, but ultimately if you need an animal shipped, you will need to have that already in place before the animal is ready to go. * CVI's (health certificates) are also the responsibility of the buyer. Our vet charges $50 per goat. Another $20 is added for my time and fuel to get to our vet that is 30 minutes away. We must know at least 2 weeks in advance before they will be transported, in order to get a vet appointment. * Please be patient with us. If you send me a message, I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Multiple messages and/or phone calls will only aggravate me. *Unless specifically noted, WE DO NOT SELL BOTTLE BABIES! We partially dam raise (12 hours off dam, milk/bottle feed, then 12 hours on dam) because that is what works for my schedule of showing, milk test, so on and so forth, and we also find babies to grow much better and be less sickly while partially on their dams. So while your kid will be used to a bottle and humans, they will not be strictly bottle fed, nor will they leave earlier than the times I mentioned above. Please do not ask. * WE DO NOT DO FARM VISITS!! I will send you pictures and/or videos of any animal you are interested in, but do to biosecurity, we do not allow anyone into our goat herd area. Pickups are done at my driveway or previously planned meet-up areas. Our pastures are on constant video surveillance. I'm sorry for so many strict rules. Over the years, it has grown apparent these need to be in place for the health of our herd and my sanity. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to finding you your perfect baby!
