2023 was coming to a close and we REALLY weren’t going to add another goat … BUT … ??

We are still bummed about losing our favorite Mini Nubian buck, Marky Mark, before we could even breed him, and we spent months scouring 2024 waitlists for his relatives. So when Eliya made Penny Candy available, there was no way we could resist – she’s Mark’s dam!

Penny Candy’s barn name at GG is “Penny” but since we already have a doe with that name, we’re calling her “Candy.”

She's gorgeous and strong and sweet! For faults, her topline is a tiny bit weak at the chine and her foreudder is smoothly blended but lacks extension. Her udder halves aren't completely even and one teat is easier to milk than the other, but both do flow very well!

We have her tentatively listed after a job loss, but will be picky who she goes to. We dropped her price to less than we paid because although she has an excellent pedigree and is producing more than she did as a FF and 2F, she's still not quite producing enough to earn her milk weight star this year as a 3F. She did earn her butterfat star, though!
