Details
Argentine Leandra is a big boned, extremely heavy wooled, full Argentine appaloosa llama - a rarity in itself. She features some of the rarest Argentine lines. Although all Argentines are rare, there is one genetic line which does not have the prolific herd sire Argentine Don Zunca, and Argentine Leandra is such a girl! Not having Argentine Don Zunca opens up a significantly different line of genetics, and we are so very fortunate to have her with us! She has the perfect conformation that we select for here at Windy Ridge Llama Ranch, and her sweet disposition is the attitude we love to see passed along to offspring.
Argentine Leandra graced us with a handsome spotted son, another pure Argentine, after being bred to our own MGF Argentine Don Quixote. Their son, born in the summer of 2023, has all of Momma's appaloosa fleece and that characteristic triangular head with a perky little, short snout.
Argentine Leandra had such a beautiful cria with MGF Argentine Don Quixote that there will be a re-breeding of this pair in the Spring of 2024! We will be equally excited with either a male or female cria from this awesome duo - both MGF Argentine Don Quixote and their son, ZF Argentine Don Alejandro, each have their own featured page here on the website. This family of superstar Argentine llamas will remain here at Windy Ridge Llama Ranch = you are invited to come and experience the Argentine difference!
