Cilantro's dam, Rye, is a large black doe with a lovely udder that is easy to milk. She produced 2692 lbs of milk (105P, 130F) in 363 days. Her 2017 Linear Appraisal score was 90 E V V E as a 6 year old. The sire is Durham, a large, personable buck who scored well at last year's Linear Appraisal as a yearling: FS 86 V E V.
Cilantro kidded on 6/21/19 and gave 2036 M, 108 F, and 84 P in an extended lactation of 581 days as we did not get her bred for the 2020 season.
She gave us a doe kid on 1/22/21. We will be keeping this kid in our herd. Cilantro has produced 1527 lbs of milk in 188 days with 71 lbs of butterfat and 62 lbs of protein. She was appraised in August 2021 with a score of V E E V 89. She was been bred for a June 2022 kidding but aborted in May.
We were appraised in September 2023. Cilantro scored G,V,G,V with a final score of 86, despite recovering from a bout with mastitis. We have dried her off early so her final production was quite low. Cilantro produced 701 lbs of milk in 113 days.
