Hester was given to us by a dear friend as an adult yak. She has never calved or to our knowledge ever pregnant. Which is a shame, she would make great babies. She is super friendly and Batu's constant companion. They are are inseparable. She is the herd's watchdog. She does a great job keeping the elk and coyotes away. Last summer she chased a bear from our pasture. She earns her keep ??
