    At 9 years old Lover is #4 in SD 2022 EPDs!
    We are very proud to announce our partnership with Lynn Edens/Little Creek Alpacas in this unique male Snowmass Lovers Legacy XX. He escaped notice and was not used for breeding until he was four when he exhibited lasting traits of fineness and exceptional staple length. For us it was a four year search for a male of this quality to put over our light and dark females. His offspring are showing off his prepotency and colorwise he has produced dark brown when bred to dark brown, as well as light colors. In EPDs I was particularly looking at the SD and SL which are 0.29 and 11%. respectively. Check out his 7 year old histogram. Lovers is the most complete male for passing on his characteristics to his offspring

    Lover has been heavily used at Little Creek this summer. I persuaded Lynn to allow us to share him a year at a time so he will be standing stud here in Oregon September 2020 until September 2021.. then alternate years.

    I'm so excited that we will be able to cover females due to deliver this fall and again next spring/summer for those already bred. We are using him over all colors including Black this year. He is already a busy boy! Lover lives up to his name as he is an assertive breeder but very gentle with us.

    Lovers Legacy's breedings are restricted-Limited breedings available. A deposit now will hold your breeding for next spring. Lovers' offspring and quality females bred to him will be available in the future. Breedings to females purchased at Little Creek Alpacas may be done here at Heritage Alpacas..

    Description

    K-2 is a little used Alianza import with a Hemingway style fleece and fineness that we love. We bred our HERITAGE STUD FEMALE Alexis to K-2 and when he was declared sterile rebred her to one of his sons.
    When Ice Princess was found in the pasture running after her dam during a storm a month earlier than expected-and a whopping 19 lb at that!- we knew something was not quite right! After a blow dry and mom's rich milk she was fine and growing quickly to be a nice sized girl with beautiful fleece.

    Ice Princess' fleece is very bright with little medulation. Not unexpected as K-2 is in the top 1% of ARI EPD's for lack of medulation for 2013. She has fineness and a extremely consistent tiny crimp from her Hemingway/K-2 Alianza background, density from Caligula, with a soft hand and brightness that make her very desirable. She is an elegant statuesque female and very healthy

    Ice Princess produced the second heaviest female fleece in our herd in 2016- and her stats stayed relatively the same in 2014 and 2015.
    Her full brother Kilamanjaro(SOLD) has retained his fine fleece and beautiful crimp.

    This is definitely K-2's last offspring. Bred to Titan son PC Running Late! Our first Running Late cria have been stunning! 6/18/2016 A Running Late male named Arctic Ice with extraordinary bright soft fleece and perfect conformation.

    I think Arctic Ice is the best white Running Late male cria we have produced! Both times he has shown judges have commented on his fineness and amazing consistency of fleece character, micron, and staple length.
