    Patagonia's El Vasco has a championship show record due to his very stylish look and very dense (70 follicles SQMM) very soft (19 micron) very consistent (SP 13to1) fleece. El Vasco has a beautiful fleece that is fine and full of tight crimp. He has a beautiful head. Vasco is 1/2 brother to Kaspa, the 2003 AOBA grey champion male (same dam). He has sired well over 100 offspring.

    El Vasco was sired by the famous, exotic modern grey Neruda. One of the industry's rare dark point grey's, Neruda sold for $205,000 making his genetics some of the most sought after in the country. El Vasco's dam, Melosa was sired by PPeruvian Pluro who made a name for himself in Peru, the United States and Australia. Pluro's breeding's were in high demand for his ability to pass on his incredible fleece coverage and large bone.

    ESTATES MOROCCAN MOON
    Estates Moroccan Moon is the combination of two wonderful breeding programs. Moroccan Moon is out of outstanding herdsire, Patagonia's El Vasco. Moroccan Moon's dam is the rich, strong colored Patagonia's Millie, who was one of the first Patagonia animals I purchased when I first found myself wanting colored genetics. We have been combining the Patagonia pedigrees along with the large bones, broad chests, retained fineness and wonderful handle (as well as outstanding density) out of the vast variety of our beautiful color foundation herd from names you are all familiar with such as Snowmass, NeverSummer, Janus, and R & R from Canada.

    Moroccan Moon’s genetics include Snowmass Andean Bronze, Snowmass Legacy Gold, 5Peruvian Chaccu, and Columbia River’s Commander. Andean has a royal lineage including many generations of black genetics, passing along ideal fineness and a silky hand that is uniform throughout, with high frequency, well defined crimp extending down to the lower belly, and virtually no guard hair! After all, Andean’s dam is Snowmass Fineness Matters. That is why Andean was chosen by Judge David Barboza as the black Get of Sire competing with white herdsires at the California Classic in 2014.
