Elektra is the offspring of Zeus Rose - a lovely male owned by Alpacas of Tualitin Valley.
Description
Bronze Mahogany is not only a multi-award winning champion, he is just down right stunning! Long locks, organized to the skin and uniform in style from hip to shoulder. Amazing luster, amazing density, and every judge has commented that he is the finest in his class.
His sire is El Pacacola, a Protocol son who won mutiple awards in halter competitions well after two years of age, while owned by Cindy Harris of Windy Hill Alpacas in California. Additionally, El Pacacola is the grandson of Pperuvian Amador - sire to Pucara's Kahuna! Bronze's dam is ATV Elektra, out of Zeus Rose and carrying genetics from Mahogany Prince.
We are so excited to include Bronze in our herdsire line up. His biopsy results confirm his status as a superior herdsire - 75 folicles per sq mm! 11:1 S/P ratio, and an MFD of 23 at 7 years of age - this guy rocks! Several of his crias have won championships at some of the most prominent shows - MOPACA, MAPACA, and AOBA Nationals!
Our first offspring out of Bronze - Salt River's Buster - was sold as a breeding male and had amazing uniformity - 23.5, 23.7, and 23.8 - shoulder, side and hip - at 3 years of age. He is just now being density tested but Buster sheared 6.5 lbs of blanket in 2015, so we know he has to have some density to him!
We didn't really start using Bronze on our farm until 2014, so we are just now seeing the results in his crias that hit the ground in Fall of 2015. But, based on these little ones, it appears that Bronze continues to breed incredibly uniform fleece traits. We have put him on all of our colored females again this year and can't wait for 2016!

Buster was a late bloomer. When he was young, he exhibited nice fleece traits but wasn't knocking us over. But then we sheared him at six months of ...
