Icon is one very rare boy. There just aren't too many full Peruvian, half Accoyo black alpacas out there to begin with. In addition, Icon's impressive genetics, superior fleece characteristics & excellent conformation make him an exceptional future herd sire.
First consider Icon's impressive genetics. He is the son of two full Peruvian grey parents. Icon's dam is 5Peruvian Mignon, a dark silver grey, and his sire is the infamous Mcguire, a very rare full Accoyo rose grey male and four time blue ribbon winner. Many of Icon's siblings have also taken blues.
The legendary Accoyo Victor is Icon's grandsire. Victor is widely regarded as one of the finest huacaya herd sires in this country. He was the youngest male that arrived in the 1994 importation. His fleece swept the awards in 1995 AOBA National Fleece Show, including awards for Best Growth Huacaya, Most Uniform Huacaya, Best Crimp Huacaya. Victor is no longer available for outside breedings so his genetics are quickly becoming more and more rare.
Icon's granddam, Accoyo Rosemary, also has a track record of producing champions including several national champions- Penny Royalle, Camilio Jr, and Rosehip who just sold at his auction for over 60K.
Next consider Icon's fleece. He has the wonderfully dense, crimpy, fine fleece that you would expect from his genetics. Both Icon's sire & his grandsire, have produced some of the most magnificent fleece weights on record, both having shorn over 14 lbs. Icon possess that wonderful, deep, superior crimp that Victor is known for. This quality of fleece in black is very rare, indeed!
Finally, look at Icon's conformation. He stands tall & straight with a perfect bite. He is a large alpaca towering above all of our other boys.
Consider Icon to add color, density and size to your female.
