We are a fleece market...what are you breeding for?
***2013 Side fiber sample
Yocom-McColl:20.0/4.8/23/9%/3.4% Very nice for an 8y.o. breeding male!
IMPORTANT... Valerian's cria, like him as a cria, have great coverage, fineness, incredible brightness (one farm described it as looking like shiny plastic) and the look of a suri's fleece. The crimp does develop as you can see in the picture to the right of Valerian's cria fleece and 2nd shearing.
This 3/4 Accoyo El Nino son has fiber that appears to be dripping gold. Valerian has the softest hand and is incredibly dense, with a long staple length. His crimp is visible without touching his fleece, all the way down his legs and up his neck.
Seeing him and touching him will speak volumes more than I could ever write.
Valerian has the same calm dignity his dam, Verbena (a Victor daughter and mother to MSA Pinot Noir), has and gets along well with his 11 other pen mates. He can be led to and from his breedings by putting your arm around his neck and walking with him.
I mention this as we believe personality is also important, especially in a breedng male that lives with other males and needs to be handled by us.
A skin biopsy done on Sept 20, 2007 and the total results were outstanding.
70 follicles/sq mm (average Dr Evans has seen in his testings 38.75sq mm)
S/P 19.75 to 1 (average found 8.5 to 1)!
Triad clusters-remarkable.
And, he continues to hold his fineness!
Stop by and take a look to see what he can add to your breeding program or email for a fiber sample.
