Sadly, our dear boy Iago passed away August of 2014. His memory lives on in his offspring still on the farm. He will be missed.
Iago had a wonderful presence and a sweet personality- he was a gentleman and a sweetheart! He was also very robust with solid, sturdy legs, a straight topline, and exceptional coverage- just a big, teddy-bear of a macho. His cria are exhibiting the same sweet, easygoing temperaments! Iago is producing well put together babies covered to the toes with gorgeous, fine, crimpy fiber.
With his West Coast bloodlines, Iago has about 2 dozen striking cria on the ground to date as well as some grand kids. He has consistently thrown color when bred to color and white when bred to white.
His first offspring to show received a Color Championship - at her first show!
Iago's best trait was his ability to replicate himself. His offspring on our farm are distinctively his and when I look at pictures of his progeny from other farms, they are unmistakeably his. He has no guard hair in his blanket and he passes that excellent quality on to his offspring.
El Nino's Accoyo Iago was co-owned with our friends Kate & Scott McKelvie of Alpacas of Sunset Fields. We would love to show off his kids and grand kids.
