Garnett is our herd matriarch. She las a rich, reddish-brown fleece which has maintained a sub-30 micron AFD at 18 years of age. Garnett is enjoying her retirement and showing all the younsters what life is about.
Description
Patti will always be part of our foundation herd. Her dam, Garnett, was the first alpaca I ever purchased and a long-time farm favorite - affectionately known as "Gramma G". Patti's fleece is to die for - still about 18 microns at 6 years of age, with a high curvature, low CV, excellent brightness and a buttery handle. Patti's only downside is that she hasn't been able to deliver us viable offspring, yet. We gave her a year off and will be re-breeding her this year. Feb 2013 Update - Patti will be featured by the Alpaca Registry (ARI)at the AOBA National Conference & Show this spring! She made one of the Top5 lists of EPD traits and will be featured at the ARI booth throughout the show.
