When we sold Snowmass Nova in February of 2006 we had some inkling that the lone son he had produced for us the year before had some potential. To their great credit so apparently did our friends and partners, Wayne and Susan Robinson of Emelise Alpacas, who placed a fairly sizable bet in purchasing half of a black cria when he was still less than four months old. As we always tell folks, buying a cria is like a professional sports team drafting an 18 year old kid: sometimes they blossom into their full potential and you have the next all-star and other times they flat line into nothing special.
Show record aside, Cam, now almost 8 years old, is an undisputed all-star. He has not only met but far exceeded our expectations turning into a denser, finer version of his famous sire with the added benefit of his dam's (Camburi, a Chilean import, was one of Jennifer's finds from a scouting trip in late 2003) amazing dark genetic background. Cameron is now a proven producer many times over having thrown multiple Champions in colors ranging from fawn to black.
