Alpina is a stocky, full Peruvian white female from Canada who can be a spitfire when handled.
She comes with a first class pedigree. Her sire Alpamayo is one of Canada's outstanding sires with a fiber diameter of 22.5 and SD of 3.8 at 11 years old. Even at her age, she still has nice density in the useful places (not on the face or legs) and nice handle to her fiber. Good fineness considering her age and production history.
Alpina gave us a light fawn boy October 13, 2014 ("Wibotawot Peruvian Alpine Sniper") out of Accoyo Sharpshooter, an Accoyo Express grandson. The little guy was up and running within minutes, and gained weight well. She was very protective of him and of all the cria, but she's been through this before, and didn't pine for him when he was taken away for weaning.
Alpina has been rebred to Accoyo Sharpshooter for a spring 2016 cria.
