Description
With black fleece that has lingering fineness, luster, crimp, & density, perfect conformation, a beautiful head, a calm personality, and excellent offspring, EKATERINA is a true black beauty. This is one of the reasons that her price is so high at her age.
EKATERINA's sire is EQUINOX ETERNIX [medium rose grey] out of PPeruvian CAMILIO [paternal ACCOYO grandsire-medium fawn] and Pperuvian GUELLERMO [great grandsire-light brown].
EKATERINA's dam is 6Peruvian GOOD FORTUNE [medium fawn] out of 6Peruvian FORTUNATA [granddam-dark silver grey].
"Peruvian ACCOYO CAMILIO [Ekaterina's grandsire], son of Don Julio Barreda's Standing Bear, was the TOP FAWN PICK in the largest import of Accoyo fawn herd sires to date.
At age 3, his micron count was 20 with a 1995 shear weight of 13 pounds.
CAMILIO has a proud, handsome presence with heavy bone and prefect conformation.
While he sports a beautiful APRICOT-COLORED fleece, his crias have ranged in color from white to fawn to red-brown to jet black, with many winning prizes on the North American show circuit."

EKATERINA is currently bred to my AOBA award-winning herd sire, AV Rambo's Peruvian T. MOJITO, for a July 2015 cria. In MOJITO, "Katia" has been bred to exceptional genetics, and I expect an exceptional cria. This is the 1st time that EKATERINA has been bred to a dark herd sire, and I am really anticipating the results and hoping for grey, as well. A repeat of WESTIN STARR in grey or black would be wonderful!
[See EKATERINA's fleece samples under MORE INFO.]
Although EKATERINA [1/4 ACCOYO] conceives very easily [despite the sometimes long intervals], we have chosen not to breed her often. She has always been in excellent health and has no medical history, except for routine shots and de-worming.
